FCEDC Hosts FDI Expert Andreas Dressler
This week, the Fayetteville Cumberland Economic Development Corporation partnered with the Greater Fayetteville Business Journal to host FDI expert Andreas Dressler at the first Power Breakfast of 2026.
Andreas, the founder of FDI Center, has nearly 30 years of experience in foreign direct investment (FDI). His work focuses on helping companies develop strategies for selecting and attracting investment locations around the world. He has advised major corporations, start-ups, and leading investment promotion agencies, giving him deep insight into how companies make location decisions and how communities can effectively compete for investment.
During the event, Andreas shared valuable insights on the economic opportunities FDI can generate for communities, current global trends, and how communities like Fayetteville and Cumberland County can strategize to attract foreign companies that bring capital investment and job creation.
“This event was a great opportunity for our community to deepen its understanding of how global markets can shape local growth,” said Robert Van Geons, FCEDC President and CEO. “As the home of Fort Bragg, whose connections span the globe, we are uniquely positioned to cultivate strategic international partnerships that strengthen our economic future.”
