Sky Management Services Signs 100,000 Square Foot Industrial Lease With Landair Logistics
Sky Management Services, LLC, a leading privately held commercial real estate investment, development, and management company, announced that it has signed a long-term commitment and lease in Fayetteville with Landair Logistics, Inc. Landair will begin operations in Sky’s industrial facility on 107 Tom Starling Road.
Sky Management, based in Philadelphia and New York City, owns and operates a large portfolio of properties across the United States. Since acquiring the 927,040 square foot Tom Starling building in July, the company has implemented a comprehensive leasing and capital improvement campaign. “The newly signed lease serves as a testament to the first-class industrial environment at the property and exemplifies the continued demand for distribution and logistics space,” said Alex Dembitzer, CEO & Founder of Sky Management. “The property is ideal for logistics with its immediate access to the I-95 corridor.”
The multi-tenanted warehouse and distribution space is located within 1.5 miles of I-95, placing it within a day’s drive of 3/4ths of the U.S. population. The building features 32-foot clear ceiling heights and a generous parking ratio with abundant loading.
Landair, a division of Covenant Transportation Group, Inc., is a leading dedicated and for-hire truckload carrier, as well as supplier of 3PL transportation, warehousing and logistics inventory management services. The company’s 100,000 square foot lease was brokered by Tommy Turner and James Belcher of Newmark Knight Frank. “Landair chose to relocate to 107 Tom Starling Road due to its immediate interstate access and to be closer to their customer base,” said Jon Zich, Senior Advisor at Sky Management. “Sky is excited to continue to provide high-quality jobs in important communities like Fayetteville.”
Sky Management Services has already demonstrated its commitment to our community. Through its affiliate, the Northern Charitable Foundation, the firm pledged to contribute $10,000 to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum (ASOM), becoming a “Lifetime Benefactor.” Earlier today, Asset and Facilities Manager Frank Janos presented Mike Lynch, Executive Director of the ASOM, with the first donation of $2,500. Additionally, during Hurricane Florence, Sky Management provided the Fayetteville Fire Department and Sandhills Chapter of the American Red Cross with temporary warehouse space to store and distribute goods to those affected by the storm.
