FCEDC’s Robert Van Geons is Named 2021 Chair of IEDC Public Policy Advisory Committee

 

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The Fayetteville Cumberland County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC) is proud to announce its President and CEO Robert Van Geons has been named 2021 Chair of International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) Public Policy Advisory Committee (PPAC). This committee monitors and reviews the organization’s legislative affairs and federal relations by establishing a list of key legislative issues to be monitored, recommending strategic and policy actions, and providing guidance on the content of the annual Economic Development Summit.

“Fayetteville and Cumberland County strive to be leaders on policy issues relating to the economic health of communities,” said Van Geons. “I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to these important conversations and very much look forward to working closely with the talented IEDC Staff, Vice Chair and Committee Members to achieve the public policy goals of the Board of Directors and membership. I am honored to represent our community during such a crucial time for our economy.”
