FCEDC Builds Global Connections at SelectUSA Roadshow
Last week, FCEDC President & CEO Robert Van Geons represented Fayetteville and Cumberland County at a SelectUSA Roadshow held in the Netherlands and Belgium, engaging in a two-day international outreach effort aimed at attracting foreign direct investment.
Throughout the event, Robert participated in face-to-face meetings with international business leaders, executives, and site selectors, fostering meaningful conversations about business needs, workforce considerations, and long-term investment strategies. Those discussions provided Robert with an opportunity to showcase Fayetteville and Cumberland County’s strengths while building trust and relationships. For many international firms, these personal connections often serve as the first step toward future site visits and investment decisions.
Participation in international events like SelectUSA is a key component of FCEDC’s economic development strategy. By maintaining a presence on the global stage, Fayetteville and Cumberland County are well-positioned to attract foreign direct investment that brings new jobs, capital investment, and long-term economic growth to the region.
