One-Stop Early Voting begins February 15th!

Cumberland County residents, one-stop early voting for the March 5, 2024 Primary Election begins in Cumberland County on Thursday, February 15. One-stop early voting will end on Saturday, March 2nd at 3pm. Voters will be asked to show a photo ID when voting in North Carolina.

Registered voters may update their address and other vital information on an existing registration record at any early voting site if necessary. Same-day registration is also available. Guidelines for same-day registrations can be found here.

According to the Cumberland County Board of Elections, there are eight Early Voting locations open in the county:

  • Kiwanis Recreation Center – 352 Devers St. Fayetteville
  • College Lakes Recreation Center – 4945 Rosehill Rd. Fayetteville
  • Stoney Point Recreation Center – 7411 Rockfish Rd. Fayetteville
  • Cliffdale Recreation Center – 6404 Cliffdale Rd. Fayetteville
  • Smith Recreation Center – 1520 Slater Ave. Fayetteville
  • JD Pone Recreation Center – 2964 School Rd. Hope Mills
  • East Regional Library – 4809 Clinton Rd. Fayetteville
  • Spring Lake Recreation Center – 245 Ruth St. Spring Lake

All eight voting centers will be operating on the same schedule.

  • February 15-16: 8am – 7:30pm
  • February 17: 8am – 3pm
  • February 18: 2pm – 5pm
  • February 19 – March 1: 8am – 7:30pm **note that polling locations will not be open on February 24-25
  • March 2: 8am – 3pm

By voting, we as citizens can shape our community’s future. Active and engaged citizens determine the direction of local, state, and national politics by casting votes in elections. Voting helps to shape policy,  creates accountability and drives change.

National, state, and local races are on the ballot for the March 5th primary elections. Unaffiliated voters will be asked to choose a party ballot upon check-in.  Here are some reasons why voting plays a key role in democracy:

  2. State dynamics: State-level decisions have a far-reaching impact on healthcare, taxation, environmental regulations, and more.
