D-BAT Coming to Fayetteville
Indoor Baseball & Softball Training Academies to Open on Ramsey Street
Fayetteville, NC – The FCEDC is pleased to announce that D-BAT Baseball and Softball Academies is opening its newest facility at 3725 Ramsey Street. It is expected to open in late April and will initially create ten jobs.
D-BAT operates 135 world-class baseball and softball training facilities across the United States. The Fayetteville location is the fifth D-BAT franchise in North Carolina, and the first in the eastern part of the state. D-BAT is known for its premier level instructors that have worked with more than 20 first-round Major League Baseball draft picks. Hitting, pitching, catching, fielding, agility, strength and conditioning, and other specialized training opportunities are available year-round in a climate-controlled environment.
Fayetteville franchise owner and current active-duty soldier Wayne Richey was drawn to the organization’s mission and the opportunities it creates. “While I transition out of the military and into civilian life, my family has decided to plant our roots here in Fayetteville and give back to our community,” said Wayne. “D-BAT will include 12 indoor batting cages, state of the art technology, and 15,000 sq. feet of awesomeness.”
The Pro Shop will include bats, gloves and other accessories that may be tested inside D-BAT facilities prior to purchase. D-BAT has partnered with Rawlings, a well-known baseball and softball equipment company, to offer a wide range of products to suit all ability levels. Memberships include discounted options for batting cage rentals and private lessons. The location is expected to host numerous camps and clinics throughout the year.
“We are excited to welcome D-BAT to Fayetteville,” says Rob Patton, Executive Vice President of FCEDC. “Wayne and his family are a great example of how our military families contribute to the area. We look forward to seeing this facility grow as a part of our Can-Do community!”
