Showcase Restoration Receives Building Reuse Grant Check
We get excited about helping businesses grow within the community! So, last week was great, as FCEDC assisted the city of Fayetteville in presenting Showcase Restoration with their NC Department of Commerce Building Reuse Grant check. This program, which Showcase Restoration applied for via the City, is intended to develop older buildings into assets. In attendance for the check’s presentation, were Showcase Restoration President G. Wayne Etowski, our Executive VP Rob Patton, our Director of Marketing and Communications Merica Simpson, and the city’s Economic Development Manager, Derek McArthur.
During the check’s presentation, Etowski said, “Thank you to the whole team at FCEDC, especially Rob Patton. When we first met, he looked at my needs and came up with a plan. He kept me updated and put the final paperwork together that got us over the finish line. I highly recommend any business looking for help to reach out to the FCEDC.” This moment was 2.5 years in the making, as Showcase Restoration made all the renovations necessary to align with the program’s guidelines.
Regarding the process and benefit of the program, VP Patton said, “The Rural Reuse Grant program is a fantastic program for businesses here in our area. With the investment in the community and job creation, this program is able to off-set some costs that businesses invest into the community. Working with Wayne and his team was rewarding, and we are proud to have been a part of this! Thank you to the city of Fayetteville for approving and administering these funds. This wouldn’t have been possible without the city’s application on behalf of Showcase Restoration.”
