First-ever AUSA Warfighter Summit & Expo held in Fayetteville, NC
Executive Vice President Rob Patton represented FCEDC at the two-day Association of the United States Army’s AUSA Warfighter Summit & Exposition held July 27-28 at the Crown Complex. AUSA organizers selected Fayetteville as the site for this inaugural event, which featured the theme “America’s Response Force: Ready Today, Ready Tomorrow.” FCEDC is a proud supporter of AUSA, of which Patton and FCEDC President and CEO Robert Van Geons, CEcD, are both members.
The event showcased industry-leading products, innovative technology, and service solutions to address warfighter capabilities and requirements. It also provided FCEDC the opportunity to network with key decision-makers, including senior Army leaders.
The impressive list of guest speakers included retired Army Gen. Robert B. Brown, President and CEO, Association of the United States Army, and Gen. Andrew Poppas, Commanding General of the United States Army Forces Command.
The schedule also featured the “Competition with a Purpose” Battle Challenge, a unique fitness and ability-based military action sport consisting of nine tasks relevant to the U.S. Armed Forces.
AUSA supports soldiers, their families, and Army civilians, as well as providing a voice for the Army and honoring those who have served.
