FCEDC Attends TechNet Fort Bragg Symposium & Exposition

FCEDC’s President & CEO Robert Van Geons and Executive Vice President Rob Patton attended the TechNet Fort Bragg Symposium & Exposition on April 5-6, 2022. The event provided a unique opportunity to network with international companies and make local connections to help advance economic development in Fayetteville and Cumberland County.

At the symposium, high-profile speakers discussed critical technology topics facing the military, government, and industry communities today. The presentations were focused on cyber security, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, technical workforce development, and big data.

In addition to a full agenda of educational sessions, the conference had an exhibit hall featuring more than 80 state-of-the-art tech and innovation-focused organizations.

The symposium is hosted annually by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) North Carolina chapter. AFCEA is a member-based, non-profit international organization that has helped members advance information technology, communications, and electronics capabilities since 1946. The association has 29,714 individual members, 138 chapters, and 1,590 corporate members.
